How FORGOOD can help

Embedding ethics and accountability in behavioural science

The FORGOOD framework supports organisations in applying behavioural science responsibly and effectively. Our services help integrate ethical practices into operations, improve intervention outcomes, and foster a culture of accountability and innovation. Through a membership community, tailored advice, team training, product design integration, and evaluation, we provide tools and guidance to address complex challenges and build resilience.

Our services:

Membership

The FORGOOD membership provides institutional access to materials and quarterly workshops for practical application of the framework and better intervention outcomes. Our forum enables members to tackle practical problems and provides insights into the latest behavioural science research - including applications in AI and corporate culture. Members gain market insights and peer learning, as well as the social purpose benefit of supporting an initiative to raise standards and professionalism in the discipline.

Behavioural scientists who join this community benefit from professional development, research and development insights, market perspective, and a community of like-minded peers.

Training

Where firms make extensive use of behavioural science techniques, training into the FORGOOD methodology helps to embed the methodology and to develop robust capabilities and organisational resilience. We can provide:

  • Training modules to embed ethics into the company culture
  • Guidance on integrating behavioural science for long-term impact
  • Ongoing performance reviews and development to enhance results

Product design integration

Incorporating a formal ethical review into behavioural interventions needs to happen before implementation if ethical harm is to be avoided. Please contact us for assistance or training in running your own FORGOOD review – or if you would like the rigour of an independent review.

For planned interventions with high impact, complexity or materiality, we can run a pre-mortem review using the FORGOOD framework. Pre-mortem techniques were developed by Gary Klein as a behaviourally informed approach to mitigating bias in group decision making and qualitatively improve risk assessment for transformational projects. Research suggests it is effective in reducing overconfidence, groupthink, confirmation bias, and planning fallacy. Done well it can enhance team trust - building psychological safety and rewarding critical thinking and speaking up. By airing problems that would otherwise have gone unsaid, it enables mitigating action to be taken, resulting in projects proving more robust and successful.
